Got an old Viper cue from about 2006 / 2007 (so approx 20 years). It really needs a good cleaning. So, what are the best ways to clean a cue?

So, it's a '94 chevy caprice. I need to replace the front shocks, so shopping on Rock Auto and Carparts right now. I have two questions though.

1.) My car is NOT a police / taxi package, as far as I can tell. Does it really matter that much if I got one that said it was for Police/Taxi? Are they different sizes or something?

2.) Currently looking at the brand Truedrive, Monroe, or KYB. I am on a tight budget but don't want something that will break right away either. Are these good brands?
