I taught myself to code, built a friendship app and launched it today

This past November I turned 30 years old. I had just moved back to Atlanta after giving up an apartment I had in Tacoma for 5 years. I had no property, no friends to speak of, no job, and was feeling pretty damn aimless. I booted up some old dating apps in hopes of finding some sort of meaningful connection, but I couldn't really relate to most people on them. Beyond that, it wasn't just romantic connection I was lacking, it was platonic connections with other people period.

I wanted to try to solve one problem at a time, so I focused on the friendship element first. I spent the past 6 months learning how to code from scratch in order to build an app that I wished I would have had access to years ago. It's called Clik, and as of today it is officially on the app store. Give it a try if you'd like
