Here are a list of chat enhancements I'd like to see in game:

Make chat more compact. Currently, it feels like there is way too much blank space in chat, it could easily be made more compact like any other chat found elsewhere. This way we could actually follow up with the chat. Also, the size of red packets, and gallery sent to chat are absurd.
Get notified when "replied to" in Chat: Currently, there is no actual notification when someone replies to anything you send in world chat or other. So you have to manually scroll back to check if someone said anything to you.
Add tagging system in Chat: Currently, you can't tag anyone in chat to address them, other than replying to them.
+1 should display the original sender: Currently, when you press +1, it just sends the text again, which make it confusing as whom started the whole thing.
Remove "Invalid characters" error: People should have the option to opt in/out of profanity filter. This is also disregarding the fact that the current profanity filter enforced sucks. It stops some normal words.
Add chat moderators: I don't mind if they were bots, but a mod to stop people from spamming would be nice. What's the use of recruitment channel if every second you get someone throwing a 10 lines recruitment message? Or those non-stop beggars.

In any case, I believe these QoL changes would make the chat much better than it is now. Let me know what you think!
