The Wyrmguard is a desperate coalition of outcasts and legends bound by the fading embers of dragon-kin and a shared mission to preserve the fragile balance between realms. Led by GrandMaster Leandros, the disciplined sole survivor of a fallen Monastery, the group serves as a sanctuary for L’aria, the last living vessel of the primal Dragon Soul. They are bolstered by Azraelius, an arena-forged warrior carrying a literal dragon’s heart, and Reece, an elite former Imperial archer who abandoned the Empire after discovering its dark truths. Providing the group’s pragmatic foundation is Aurore, a street-tough seventeen-year-old scout and cavalry specialist who manages the logistics and tactical grit necessary to sustain a dying order. Together, they hunt the dark creatures of the world while defying an Empire that seeks to extinguish the last remnants of ancient magic.

Once a street urchin forged in the underground arenas, Azraelius was taken in and raised by a mysterious benefactor. When his guardian was slain and revealed to be a dragon, the dying beast gave Azraelius its own heart, igniting a path of vengeance. Now his hunt has led him to L’aria and Leandros, where shared dragon blood and a common enemy bind him to the fight against the Empire.
L’aria
The last known descendant of the First Bloodline, L’aria is a headstrong and gifted young woman born with innate magic tied to dragons. After her mother was killed by a SoulMage, she fled her village and journeyed to the outlaw city of Caldrath. There, she began her transformation from frightened fugitive to a rising force of rebellion, destined to challenge the Empire that hunts her.

Leandros
Once known as the Black Lion, Leandros was the deadliest warrior of the Monastery and sworn protector of the First Bloodline. After the Empire destroyed the Order, he vanished, becoming a myth known as the Ghost of Caldrath. Upon meeting L’aria, he recognized her lineage and took her under his wing, training her in swordplay, magic, and the lost truths of the old world.

Aurore
Aurore was rescued from the streets by the slayer Leandros, she serves as the temple’s monestary caretaker. Though a "regular" human among legends, the 17-year-old is a formidable scout and cavalry specialist. While Leandros hunts high-tier monsters, Aurore handles the logistics, livestock, and tactical flanking. Stern and street-tough, she provides the grounded steel and grit necessary to keep a dying order alive.

Reece
A former member of the Empire’s elite Wolf Guard, Reece was a master archer and tracker assigned to hunt L’aria alongside a SoulMage. Haunted by the cruelty of his mission and guided by his loyal wolfdog Tarn, Reece turned on the Empire and helped L’aria defeat her pursuer. Now a fugitive, he stands as a sharp-eyed protector and trusted ally in her fight for freedom.

Long ago, the world of men and magic lived in harmony—until human greed sparked a devastating war with the mystical races and the Elder Dragons. Peace was only restored through a sacred pact known as the First Bloodline, binding dragonkind and humanity through magic and balance. Over time, that balance shattered. The rise of the Caedaran Empire, a monotheistic, anti-magic regime, led to the purging of magic and the fall of the ancient Monastery that once protected the pact. Now, with dragons long vanished and the Empire ruled by fear and fire, magic survives only in hiding.
