I was coming 270 east on the north side and had to come to a pretty fast stop. There was a loose and injured dog loose on the highway. We pretty much stopped all traffic on the highway. The dog went under a car and we eventually got it to come out. It was limping and bleeding from the mouth. One person said they would try to contact the number on the tag and immediately take it to medvet.

I hope the dog is ok and that it did not end up on the highway due to malicious intent. Hopefully it makes it back to the owner and gets the needed treatment.
