Macmini m4. double question - casual gaming + monitor advice
Hey everyone,
I’m considering a Mac mini and would love some input!
My main concern is how well the Mac mini handles casual gaming here and there. I’m not expecting it to be a full gaming PC, but I’d like to play League of Legends occasionally and have it run smoothly enough to be enjoyable. I feel a bit twisted, cause either I read it runs perfectly fine, or that it is completely unplayable :O
I’m also looking for monitor advice.
I’ve already ordered the BenQ MA270U, mostly because it looked beautiful and a nice Mac-focused 27” 4K monitor, but I’m starting to have second thoughts because it’s only 60Hz. I’m wondering whether I’ll be fine with 60Hz for general use + casual gaming, or whether I should cancel/return it and look for something with a higher refresh rate.
Would you prioritize 4K/Retina-like sharpness at 60Hz, or go for something like 1440p/120Hz+ instead?
Any monitor suggestions that pair well with the Mac mini would also be appreciated. I’d prefer something that looks good with macOS scaling and doesn’t feel like a compromise.
