Hi everyone! I have a third lobe piercing I got 2.5 months ago that I just tried to switch out the jewelry for the first time for and felt a bump on the back of my ear. It’s not visible at all from the front and I’ve been trying not to touch it while it healed, so I have no idea how long it’s been there. It doesn’t hurt at all, it doesn’t bleed or secrete anything, and it feels kinda like there’s a small hard ball under my skin when I press on it. I have 11 other piercings and have never had any bumps before, so I don’t think I’m predisposed to keloids, but also not sure what else it would be? It really doesn’t feel tender or irritated at all.
If it matters, I’ve had my lobes pierced multiple times so there’s some scar tissue, but it’s never done this before. The earring right below was done at the same time and is healing without issue. Should I just wait it out for a bit or do I need to see someone?
