I have a question for neurodivergent people: Do you struggle with playing otome games in any way?

I was recently diagnosed with a neurodivergence, and I’ve noticed that I struggle with otome games in several ways. For example, I usually need a LOT of time to complete a route or finish a game (it took me 145 hours to 100% complete Piofiore Fated Memories the first time, and I’m still pretty shocked haha)

This is because I tend to overthink everything I don’t fully understand about a character or situation, and I end up overanalyzing every detail.

Sometimes, even when I’m not playing, I still think about the game obsessively. Depending on the title, it can make me feel really anxious, confused, or worried because I sometimes struggle to separate fiction from reality.

So I was wondering if any of you also have your own struggles related to playing otome games, and what they look like. I still feel pretty bad and insecure about my recent diagnosis, and I think I need some kind of comfort. Thank you in advance 😊
