Hey everyone,

I’ve been using the BlackShark V2 Pro for a while, mainly because of its reputation for having one of the best mics in gaming headsets. I do a lot of gaming and I’m constantly on voice chat, so mic quality really matters to me

Recently though, the hinge broke (which seems to be a known issue…), so I figured it was a good time to upgrade.

Naturally, I looked into the BlackShark V3 Pro, but from what I’ve seen, reviews aren’t that convincing:

- Same hinge issues

- Mic quality doesn’t seem like a real upgrade

So now I’m wondering: what should I go for next without going crazy on budget?

I’ve seen a lot of people recommending audiophile setups like Sennheiser headphones + ModMic.

Is it actually worth it compared to a good gaming headset?

For example:

- Is a HD560S + Antlion ModMic noticeably better than the BlackShark V2 Pro? If so, how big is the difference?

- Or is the difference not that huge in real use?

I’ve also seen recommendations like HD560S + Sennheiser HD 500 BAM mic cable — is that mic actually good? What is it worth compared to the v2 pro and the Antlion ?

The V2 Pro is basically my only reference point, so I’d really appreciate feedback from people who’ve used both types of setups.

My constraints:

- Ideally wireless as I like to hangout in my house while Im talking

- Budget: under $300

What’s the best wireless combo under $300 you would recommend ?

And if wireless isn’t worth it, what wired setup would you recommend instead?

Thanks a lot 🙏
