So, I live in southern WI, and until this year, IL's gas prices have almost always been about $1 (or ~30%) higher than WI. Since gas prices started increasing, IL's prices have barely budged, if at all! Meanwhile, WI has skyrocketed to the point that now the gas prices are literally even across the stateline area! Is there something going on with either states' taxes? Usually, IL has higher taxes, so why are gas prices now so even?
