How much of your team’s actual work isn’t in Jira? We built an app to measure it
Your Jira dashboards, agile metrics, and delivery forecasts are only as reliable as the data sitting in Jira. If a substantial chunk of the actual work never makes it onto a ticket, every insight built on top of that data has a blind spot you can’t see and can’t size.
Cross-team coordination, ad-hoc requests, BAU work, rework, knowledge sharing etc. eat up real capacity but often don't show up in your velocity, cycle time, or roadmap burn-up. So when planning misses or a forecast slips, the cause is often invisible to the tools you’re using to plan with.
Our team built an Atlassian Marketplace app called IWRI (Invisible Work Risk Index) to measure this. It leverages evidence-based statistical approaches to analyse existing Jira signals and assesses the risk of substantial off-ticket work happening behind the scenes. It gives you a concrete index to factor into your capacity planning so you can stop missing forecasts. Runs on Atlassian (data stays in your tenant).
Link is in the comments. I'm really interested in feedback from anyone who is solving this gap another way.
