I started reading again about a year ago, and since then I’ve already read around 30–40 books. But I have to admit that I pretty much only read thrillers and crime novels - nothing else.
Lately, though, I’ve been wondering if I might also enjoy science fiction or fantasy, but I somehow can’t bring myself to try them. I’m worried that I won’t enjoy them and will lose interest quickly.
The funny thing is, I actually really enjoy sci-fi movies. Fantasy a little less, especially when it’s too focused on magic, if that makes sense. I like fantasy more when there’s still some realism or deeper story behind it.

Do you guys have any recommendations for books that could help me ease into those genres?
