I’m a 1N2 and in a E-6 billet within Det 7. Happy where I’m at and jump on MPA orders whenever I can, within the agency and outside using Gig Eagle or PFI. It’s nice having the perks of a blue badge as well.
Anyway, I’ve been ready to promote to E-7 for a bit now. Whether it’s all the MPA orders I’ve done in agency as well as our, I have NCOA done, troops, CCAF, Masters Degree’s etc. I’m ready. I’m just coming off MPA Orders at DISA where I earned a DMSM and previously to that I had earned an AFCM in Big Air Force.
I was trying to use this momentum to get an E-7 slot and I wasn’t selected. The person selected is the face of the unit and the birthday and birth person, so it is what it is
I’m really not trying to leave. I have everything I could want except E-7 here. How does the STEPP program work for IMAers? Is it even worth it or should I focus on switching units to get a slot.
