I called Midway City Sanitary District about throwing food wrapped in compostable bags in green bins. They mention how some compostable bags aren't actually compostable, but then recommend putting food in plastic bags...we were both honestly confused.

Anyone figure out how to properly throw food in green bins without being gross? Do I just hose the green bin after every trash pick up days? I rather wrap the food waste in a compostable bag first...
