Sorry if the title is a stupid question but I really know nothing of how Youtube's copyright system works, Ive been wanting to post my own content for months and I have been warned that I should claim ownership of my work of people on the internet would steal and re-upload my content scott-free if I didn't claim my own content, the thing is the people who told me this never went into detail and they were vague when I asked questions so I wanted to ask people who might have a better idea. I want to know if I can just upload my YouTube videos and my originality be enough or if I really need to go through a process to get my own copyrights and I have no clue how so if anyone could help me it would be very much appreciated!!
