How to get burn marks out of a wooden table.

Hi guys, posting on behalf of my parents as we've recently had guests round our house and one then accidentally put a hot gravy boat on our (I want to say Oak) table. No amount of cleaning gets this off and it's an eye sore for such a beautiful table.

The strip below the ring mark is tile, hence why it hasn't burned the same way.

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove this mark from the table and restore it to it's original looks? (Is it something a professional would have to do?) It's been in my family for years, passed down through generations so we're keen to get this sorted.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.
