Working on my late ‘60s nursery. This is a 5x7 rug. Do I need to size up to 6x9 or does this work? It’s washable, so the smaller rug is more likely to fit into my washing machine. The bare wall will have a bookcase, so that will take up some of that floor space. A concern with the larger rug is that the pattern will dominate the small room if more floor is covered.

I’d prefer to keep the smaller rug if it does work, but I’m willing to size up if it looks too small in the space.
