Sup folks!

I dont have expirience with houdini, and dont really get how exactly HDA works, but after looking at this example: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3EOYLm
It starts to look like a "modifier".

So currently I imagine this as: Maya is a "host", HDA are "geometry processor". You can pass any geometry into it right inside Maya, get some results, tweak some values and keep it procedurally and apply/remove at any given time, which is basically how modifiers works in 3dsMax/Blender/C4D.

Does it really work that way or I mislead the concept?
