Hey everyone! I’m about to embark on a once in a lifetime pre-MBA trip and Bali is the heart of it. I want to make sure I’m not missing anything crucial or making any rookie mistakes. Here’s my Bali plan:
The Itinerary:
• Canggu — 6 nights
• Ubud — 4 nights
• Uluwatu — 6 nights
A bit of context:
• Traveling with friends but also looking to meet people and socialize along the way
• Goal is to genuinely rest and recharge NOT to tick every box
• We want to fully immerse in the lifestyle — gym, padel, good food, meeting people, nights out, not just sightseeing
• Canggu especially we want to tap into the social/nightlife scene — best bars, beach clubs, where people actually hang out and meet others
• We’re not doing Gili Islands, Lombok or Nusa Penida (open to being convinced on Nusa Penida as a day trip from Uluwatu though)
Specific questions:
1. Is 6 nights in Canggu enough to actually live the lifestyle and meet people or should we extend?
2. Is 4 nights in Ubud too short?
3. Any hidden gems or must-dos we’d regret missing?
4. Anything on our itinerary you’d change?
Appreciate any advice from people who know Bali well! 🌴
