Calling a crest "Noob crest" is an entitled opinion

Calling a crest "Noob crest" is an entitled opinion

Repost of a previous thing since people were interpreting it like I was dunkin on the hunter crest xd.

So, to keep or short, some people like to call reaper and wanderer "noob traps" or "easy mode" and praise the hunter like something hard to use and sometimes even the "intended experience", and like no? Hunter is honestly also a really easy crest to master,.

Unlike wanderer you get actually range in you weapon, unlike reaper you get consistent hitbox and a good attack speed, and the pogo isn't a downside, is a side grade, once you get used to it is even better than the wanderer pogo , so like, hunter is the DEFAULT crest for a reason , "bUt tHe fOcUs mEcHaNiC!" You'll say , How hard is it to land just 6 hits while not taking damage? like Really?

Hunter rewards you for learning the boss attack pattern, not being greddy and not getting hit too often building up damage over time , wanderer requires you to be aggressive to capitalize on the attack speed while still being aware of spacing as to not get bodied by contact damage , and reaper really shines if you learn to play slowly, all have their ups and down , and all around pretty easy to use but not as easy to master , different crest, different play styles

So yeah , just because you kept missing the red flowers in hunters march doesn't mean hunter is harder to use and objectively a better way to play the game.

You want a crest with an actually meaningful skill ceiling? There's beast, there's witch, even shaman to some extent if you use the egg of flealia.

So in conclusion, just let people use whatever crest they want, all have their nuances, all have room for skill expression and can shred bosses on the right hands

I don't think is as simple as cuz "they need blood" or "they enjoy killing" , while both I think are true , if that was their only reason they could just have remained in violence, there's lots of blood and lots of killing in that layer. So I think there must be something else, a reason why they are just shredding their way to the very bottom of hell rather than taking their time on each layer, so what are your thoughts?

I've been playing up to act 3 and I must say, the architect crest really feels like a cheat code.

Is not just the "throw tools at it until it dies" strategy. But also the plasmium overdose, on its own it gives you a lot of breathing rooms if you wanna play more defensively and sinergys with the need of sill for craft binds, but aside from that it also let's you play in a really braindead way when paired with druid eyes and memory cristal and letting you pull through most encounters so long you don't get cornered by the boss and lose 8 mask in a few seconds.

The crest really trivializes a lot of combat encounters, the only caveat being how many shell hards you have to burn per attempt, + the trips to worm way if you are using the plasmium overdose before act 3 xd
