So I rented a place in sun city plus near ramapir chowkdi. I've been asked to pay 500 as a tenant while owners only have to pay 200 in my wing. ( It's not about money, it's illegal hence I'm against that)
This is 💯 illegal. When I countered, the intellectual members told me that this is how it is everywhere in Rajkot. If that's the case, that is a very sad reality.
I refused to pay extra so they contacted my landlord and the landlord asked me to either pay or leave.
Is standing up for something right dead now?
Update: Based on my research, according to Gujarat cooperative societies act, 1961, there can not be any discrimination regarding maintenance between landlord and tenant.
TLDR: I want same maintenance amount to be applied for everyone. This is not happening in Rajkot in well educated societies (so I have heard as arguments from these uncles).
