"It's A Good House" Renovation

Next up in my crusade to rid Brindleton Bay of weird and ugly houses; It's A Good House, yeah they really named it that... is it though?

Actually yeah it's not that bad, certainly not compared to some of the others in this pack.

Fixed the roof alignment on the front and got rid of that ugly tiled path leading up to the front porch. Added a pool in the rear garden (backyard) and some beehives, still plenty of room for your four legged friends to frolic around.

Inside I rearranged or exchanged some of the furniture, added some things and gave it a splash of colour.

Also added a small basement because all my houses are required to have a fuse box and a water heater.... yes, I'm weird.

Chateau Frise Renovation

Wooowie... that was a though one.....

Might have been better to gut the place and use my own idea for a floor plan rather than trying to work around the original floor plan and make it work, but I think it eventually all worked out.

Kept the double lounge layout and modified the kitchen. Turned the downstairs office in to a more formal entrance as I don't like stepping straight in to the lounge in such a grand house. Added a downstairs bathroom in the empty space that was in between the kitchen and second lounge. Changed some of the upstairs layout so that there is an extra bedroom that is suited as a guest room (nicknamed The White Room). The Master suite got a workover with a nice en suite bathroom.

On the previously empty top floor I added a home gym, atelier, sauna and music room. Lastly, I added some panache to the backyard where the kids have some new play equipment, and the adults have a place to entertain outside.

There was also more work on the outside of the house and replacing of windows then I first thought when I started this reno.

So a couple of days ago I asked what you guys did with the Hound's Head lot in your game, and that I was starting a renovation myself, well, here it is.

(First time sharing, so hope I'm doing it right)

I wanted to keep the cosy feel and overall colour pallet , while giving the lot more prestige and more things to do in general.

Now Feature: Poolhouse with Bar, Hot Tub, Gazebo, Pond, Greenhouse, Mother-in-law-suite (ideal for a butler), Tree house and playground, Study, Laundry room, Home gym, Subterranean sauna and hot spring bath and a Koi pond.

I'm about to dive in and renovate one of the worst properties in the Sims, arguably the worst of the Cats & Dogs expansion pack; Hound's Head. https://sims.fandom.com/wiki/Cavalier_Cove#Hound's_Head (So much empty wasted space).

I have a pretty good idea of what direction I want to go, but I am curious about what other people have done to this abomination. Did you renovate the existing building? Demolish it and start over? Show me your lovely builds please.
