before the update, if i low rolled i could outplay or outlast and play around the storm. sure a sett with heavy hitter and steel your heart is gonna be a big problem but you could manage
now it feels like, high roll or waste 20-30 min struggling to even exist in the arena
i feel like i spend 80 of my matches trying desperately to run from a bruiser who 3 taps me, meanwhile ive got like 100% bonus damage and im barely tickling them
adc? either be able to oneshot (and probably still get one shot later on by almost anyone) or just get deleted the second the enemy shows up later on
attack speed champs are essentially dead on impact, theres so much CC and mobility that you will never even get the chance to spool up ramping attack speed unless you have like a leona or something on your team
mages? better hope you have some kind of max hp damage or youll just get run down by a sion with 20k hp and 500 ad (side note, damage should very rarely scale with hp, and it should be a small amount. bloodmail is so busted if you roll high HP, ive gotten well over 100 ad from it before.)
also, i love getting a champ with maybe one situational CC ability, and every single one of my aug choices is seemingly "on immoblize do X", or i have one spell that barely heals anything as a side effect, and half my choices are heal/sheild. oh YEAH, guilty pleasure, desecrator and the hp regen one on yasuo, meanwhile someone else just rolled thrice twice or some thing actually useful
basically, this new mode is purely RNG, skill is left behind past the early game for the most part. i almost never see actual outplays anymore, its just stat checks and one shots, or zac players stacking hp and resist and running around until the storm closes
i exclusively play arena, but im barely even playing now because it just feels like a coin flip before the match has even started whether or not ill even be able to *exist* let alone get top 4
side note, i only play solo q bravery so that probably affects things
i dunno man, im just straight up not having a good time. the few times i get top 4 is either my teamate highrolled, or i highrolled but the other top 3 GOD rolled and im deleted near instantly on match start for 3rd place
