I’m 21F and i’ve had my IUD for 3 years now. I’ve always had issues with it and most recently I’ve been getting constant BV. I always felt like I could feel the IUD inside of me but thought maybe it’s just bc I know it’s in there. I was never able to feel the strings and neither has my partner.
A little over a week ago I had finished my antibiotics for the BV. Thursday night my partner was fingering my but stopped due to discomfort and awhile after still had pain in my uterus. Slightly on the left side but more towards the middle. I left it and thought that maybe I still had BV but can’t do to the doctors until Monday. Saturday morning my partner(M) and I had sex and afterwards I was in pain again (more than last time) and I had called to make an appt to get it check. I was able to talk to a nurse over the phone and based on what I told her she recommended me go to the ER for possible dislodgment. The pain is manageable so I don’t think it’s that serious. I tried to go to urgent care instead but told me they needed to do an ultrasound so they couldn’t help me and that’s why they sent me to the ER. I can’t go to it for some reasons but I do have an appt. Monday but I was wondering if anyone else had this happen or experience? I don’t think it’s out of place bc what I have read about it I don’t have that serious of pain.
