Our little rescue pup, Katara had a terrible reaction to eating a bee or wasp yesterday. I saw her lunge at something on the deck and the she started panicking as I’m assuming it stung her. I believe she swallowed it. She immediately started vomiting. She threw up in 5 different spots. Then she ran back to the deck and had diarrhea. All with minutes. She then ran to her dog bed and collapsed.

I got her to the emergency vet and they confirmed anaphylaxis. She had a gallbladder wall edema which is a common sign of it. They kept her overnight and as you can see by the pic, she was doing well this morning. She had a milder reaction to a bee a while back but she still had issues.

I’m worried her reactions will be worse each time. The vet said that’s possible. We’re going to our regular vet for a recheck next week. I feel like I should have something on hand to help her if this happens again. Anyone have dogs with severe allergies like this? I read that it’s possible to get an EpiPen prescription for dogs.
