My dog Larry was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy in February so we were told to not use the flea/tick and heartworm preventative medications and go with short term options like sprays. We live in rural northern Minnesota and it’s almost bug season. Add on that we also had to stop his allergy meds for his severe skin allergies, so now I’m not sure what to do for prevention, afraid that any sprays will exasperate his allergies. Grain free, raw feeding, fish oil, etc have not helped the skin allergies at all. I honestly don’t remember what his allergy meds were (NOT Apoque).
