I sent a Carlos Prates rookie autograph topps chrome card in for defect submission back in October for a scratch That’s about 1 inch long in the top right corner when I pulled it. Here we are seven months later and I just got an email that I will be getting an Ailin Perez card as a replacement. Are you able to deny the card that they give you for a defect submission or request something else? Was it unreasonable for me to think I would be able to receive the same fighters’s auto back in the replacement card? I did note in the description that was my preference. This was just a base non-numbered auto.
Anybody’s experience here would be helpful.
Update: i’ve spent all morning talking with probably eight or nine different people through an email chain. Their phone lines are currently down so nobody to call into. After the first several all but telling me basically sorry there’s nothing we can do. I finally was able to get somebody that said if I can produce links/screenshots of recent sales showing the difference in valuation between the two cards, they will escalate it and see if they can get a better suited replacement. Fingers crossed🤞
