Can we admit the Derrick White propaganda was absurd this year. He’s a great role player but the advanced stats nerds pushing these narratives that he’s better than Brown or some criminally underrated All NBA caliber guy is just ridiculous and it always was. People seem to think because White does the little things that it’s totally fine that he couldn’t hit a shot all season. Turns out it’s the main reason the Celtics blew a 3-1 lead because Brown was an efficient 25, Tatum was doing everything out there like he never got hurt. And White had 11 PPG on 32/27 splits and somehow I’ve heard almost no flak for the guy people said was the Celtics best player this year.
