So I have a loan from few nbfc and I was unable to pay it on due date which was last month, I have no intention to keep the money, I am trying hard to arrange the funds and repay. But today one random girl in my office got a call from some collection agent saying he is from SBI and I have given this girl’s number as reference. I don’t have that girl’s number and I don’t even know her and she doesn’t know me. The same happened with me when my sister’s husband got a similar call claiming that I have a loan and I am not repaying it. I have not given these numbers as references at all but still they are receiving calls. This random girl from my office reached out to me and I was shocked.
Any suggestions what I can do and where can I complain?
