Hi everyone,

Asking for advice as I am not using a lawyer to apply for N-400: Application for Naturalization. Question is in Section 4, Crimes and Offenses, part 1.

Background: Married to USC for the past 6 years. 10-year GC holder since December 2025.

Context: I received a citation for speeding on 07/28/2024. I was able to hire a lawyer who negotiated a non-moving violation (IE) instead. Only paid court fees.

Question 1: I just want to confirm that my answer to this question in the screenshot is correct, meaning, that I have to answer YES (cited by an officer) even though, I wasn't sentenced.

Question 2: Is it beneficial to add the citation and charge reduction records to the evidence?

Question 3: I am currently unemployed as of 4/6. Anyone had success applying while unemployed? Actively looking for work and debating waiting to apply until I find work again.

Finally, any general advice/guidance on N-400 online application submission, especially the evidence section and field descriptions would be much appreciated. Thank you!
