Took a few hours of fiddling. But finally got there with rockbox. The recent rockbox had issues with the classic iPod theme. Then it bricked. Was able to install original firmware again then try and diff version of rockbox and bam that was the sweet spot. I was hoping to use the twilight theme or even sailor moon that a member of the community made but those are for stock firmware and not ready for rockbox 😭. The reason for rockbox is that the stock os itself was having issues getting out of sleep mode and the screen kept reverting back to sleep within a second and it was also having issues with the wheel when browsing music to play. I have found this version of rockbox to be superior and it also has Bass settings in the equaliser!!!!! Will be sticking to this for a while. Have found Bluetooth is quieter might be able to change that with the equaliser but have always found aux (wired) to be the better option. I'm a 90s baby and have had an iPod classic ever since it came out, and find Bluetooth to be over hyped. Will keep playing with it and if anyone has any questions shoot me a DM.
P.s my iPod classic isn't for sale if this is what members are wanting to know please don't dm me about it have had too many in the past week as I mentioned it needing a new battery etc.
