Really just want to know what's going on with this rock

Found in Mississauga, Ontario. It was in a pile left over rock from a construction site so I'm not exactly sure of the original location, a lot of rubble comes from quarries in hamilton I believe. My son's and I originally dug it out because the shape was weird and in this type of rock in the area that usually means we find a cool fossil. When we cleaned it up what we found were crystal structures. There is in the underside some of the shiny lining of shells though not sure if it shows up in the pictures well. I tried to post in r/whatsthisrock but didn't get any response and r/fossilid and the response was there were no fossils.

It's a new favourite rock in my 4 year old's collection and he loves learning about how this sort of thing happens so I wanted to post as we've never seen anything like this in our area before! There is a fair amount of scratches alone the crystal vein I assume from the heavy machinery use in the construction. I can try and get some better photos of needed but I struggled to get good detailed shots with my phone camera

Is this even a fossil?

Son excluded from birthday party

I have 2 sons, my eldest is almost 5, in the process of assessment but looking likely to get an ADHD diagnosis with PDA or ODD alongside. My youngest is almost 3, I have the same gut feeling that I had with my eldest but aren't seeking assessment at this point.

We have been having issues with my eldest at school which has prompted the assessment. I won't go in to detail because it isn't really that relevant to this rant.

I have 2 Mum friends that I met when my eldest was 2, 3 years of friendship between our kids and us. Today was the 3rd birthday party of one of the kids. The Mom had sent out invites to our group chat, 3rd Mom said her 5 year old can't make it as she's already got a birthday party. However she said to me only my youngest is invited and she wasn't really inviting older kids/siblings as space is tight.

My eldest was really upset by this, asked me if the Mom doesn't like him anymore. I told him what she had told me and my husband took him out for lunch and to buy mother's day gifts so he had a special day too. However, when I arrived at the party 5 of the 10 kids attending were the same age as my eldest. I just feel so disappointed.

Our kids don't go to the same school and when we get together he is usually better regulated so she hasn't seen his worst behavior, only heard it from me when I have needed support dealing with the last year at school. I felt like she excluded him intentionally, despite him knowing her youngest literally her entire life... She made a few comments about how well my youngest behaved "without his naughty big brother around."

I don't know if I should confront her about it, I wish I had the confidence to just extract ourselves from the friendship but I know the kids all like each other and my boys would miss her girls but I hated seeing my eldest upset he wasn't invited and I felt hurt she lied to me. I don't understand why she lied it's not like I wouldn't have realized she'd lied when I got there...

▲ 151 r/fossils

My eldest is geology mad, loves all things rocks, fossils and crystals! We like to scroll through this subreddit and see some of the cool fossils you all share.

We live in Mississauga, Ontario and we find a TONNE of small coral fossils but these are some of the cooler fossils we've recently found. He wanted me to make a post so "those cool people can see our collection"

If anyone has any insight on WHAT they are it'd be fun to learn about them together but not particularly looking for IDs on any specifically:)

We find a lot of coral, crinoids and some tiny shells in our area, this is the first I've found that is somewhat 3D the exposed part is just over 1cm in length and about 0.4cm height.

I'm wondering if it's worth trying to expose more with zero experience and limited equipment
