I have recently been getting into Rrose, especially their more techno forward tracks. I need more artists & tracks like them.
I don't really know how to put words to the sound but I am deeply captivated by it. Particularly the way in which the sonic ideas evolve and interact with each other. It seems like the approach favours the psychoacoustic effects the track has on the listener over the groove or rhythm.
I have tried Rrose in the past, but felt that their tracks were too abstract and missing that deep primal kick that's found with these snake charming songs in the club. Until I came across this set and this track (Elastic Flame).
Would love to tap into the shared brain to find more tracks like the above. It's funny I find myself sometimes questioning why I listen to so much techno. Then I come across a track like Elastic Flame and realize, while in a deep state of hypnosis, "oh yeah this is why".
