My soundbar (HW-S50B) suddenly stopped working with my Hisense TV today (connected through eARC). I tried rebooting and changing the remote batteries but those didn't work. I went to equiptment controls and tried calibrating, the power button surprisingly worked, but no music was playing. Then suddenly this warning kept coming back.
Anyone have luck with something like this? I saw some people say it might be a firmware update issue so am I just SoL until Amazon gets around to fixing it?
I often see people use the line "I have seen **him** The One You Should Not Have Killed," as the smoking gun against CassidyTOYSNHK assuming Cassidy is a girl in the games continuity. With every instance of a 'Cassidy' we've seen being a girl (assuming blonde kid in the movie is like a Michael Brooks instead) I think CassiHe is increasing less likely as time goes on. And *while I don't think it's a bad piece of evidence*, I do think there's a good explanation for the use of he/him BESIDES the 'they're referring to the suit' argument: the grammatical history of pronouns.
The use of the singular they/them for someone of unknown gender is a very modern development in the English language. It was only in the last decade or so that it became part of official language guides. I went to highschool in the 2010s, and even THEN I would hear teachers and classmates argue against using the singular they/them as a gender neutral pronoun.
Instead, it was technically "proper grammar" to use **"he/him"** as a gender neutral singular pronoun. While that's not the case in the modern English language, let's remember two things:
Scott Cawthon the real-life 47 year old man was raised in Texas. If my suburban Pennsyltucky-ish highschool in 2015 was still debating the usage of singular they/them, it's possible that Scott still has some old-school grammar rules stuck in his mind that come through every now and again. I wouldn't be surprised if he still used double space after a period. Like so. (I still see older coworkers use that one and it annoys me so much ngl).
Withered Chica and Mangle are pulled from 1987. It's possible that Susie, the dead child born in 1977-1980, does not have the wokest grasp of the English language. It's possible the in-universe spirit inside of withered chica was raised to use he/him as the default pronoun.
Now, am I saying this is the ONLY explanation for TOYSNHK using he/him? No. Am I even saying this is the MOST LIKELY explanation? ...okay admittedly that one is 50/50.
All I'm saying is I don't think the he/him pronouns are the smoking gun for the Vengeful Spirit's identity. After all, the character's VA was told to keep the voice gender ambiguous and Scott has gone on record saying the VS's "face" in UCN is a placeholder and not canon.
