A family member has started using a walker and we have two steps (34cm) up to our front porch. Aged care is going to take too long to assess need and have ramp approved and built. Are portable ones ok, I figure 180cm/6ft is probably as long as we could go in to the driveway without losing car access. The porch is rough tiles with a round curve at the edge, would that cause an issue with the lip? Would we need to drill holes?

If that is unsuitable we'll need to remove existing handrail and build into the garden I guess.

All advice welcome
