TLDR: If CA make beastmen and changeling less idle in campaign it will be infuriating to deal with them because there are next to no ways to make beastmen engage with your armies so they will constantly go for your undefined settlements. CA should give us more ways to reveal hidden armies.
I always thought that the fact they made beastmen basically an invincible race in their rework was a weird decision from CA. If you're playing beastmen you basically can't lose until you're specifically trying to. All due to their encampent stance that basically cannot be discovered. If you are the player, it makes their campaign boring after a dozen of turns for me because there are basically 0 stakes and no real threat to you. But that's just my opinion and some people like that style of campaign. The real problem is that in order to make them tolerable to deal with as the AI CA just lobotomised them. They don't expand don't recruit high tier units and usually don't survive past early game. I think it's a shame, especially with the soon addition of Boris Toddbringer to the game and some new chaos endgame events. I really want to see beastmen (and changeling by the way) to be proper unique factions on the campaign map. The addition of adequate counterplay will also allow people in multiplayer campaigns to finally play beastmen without a 10 page rule list.
But if CA just unlobotomise them it will turn your campaigns to a nightmare. Invisible armies that constantly turn your settlements to ruins, ambushing your armies without any real way to finish them off. That's what I experienced playing a campaign with a "stronger and fairer AI mod". This mod basically just give the AI more cheats and make them more aggressive but it also provide additional bonuses to factions with unusual recruitment systems like Chaos dwarves, WoC and, you guessed right, the beastmen. I really enjoy this mod but this time it absolutely ruined my campaign because beastmen were destroying more and more of my territory every turn. It was fun to fight them in battles but there are just no tools to deal with them in campaign.
CA can buff the "night watch" building chain making it so it reveals hidden armies in adjent regions as well. They can also add some other features to it like the garrison attack that Kislev have now and ambush defence chance in adjesnt regions. It will be also great to teach the AI to build this so it can actually deal with you when you are playing beastmen. Also they can give some heroes the ability to reveal hidden armies in a local region (for the witchunters for example). Or maybe to make all of the beastmen faction armies visible if their last herdstone was destroyed.
