Hi guys. I'm starting at Edge Hill University in September (I'm from Kent so it's a big change.) For context, I'm autistic and HATE big crowds so clubbing is not for me. I'm not gonna force myself to go when I would hate it. I also don't drink at all, I have alcohol intolerance and I'm also Christian so I don't drink for that. Be honest, will this hinder my ability to make friends? I wasn't really worried, but I had 2 girls at my work placement who are first years doing the course I'm gonna do. I asked them how they made friends and the only thing they said was "go out clubbing and drinking". I understand this is just 2 people's perspective, but yeah. I just don't wanna be seen as boring.
