Federal spending and tax revenue increased from fiscal year 2024 to 2025 under Trump, even with inflation factored in. Weren't these supposed to go down?

Canada isn’t communist. The vast majority of our economy is capitalist. We do have some social programs, sure, but only a bit more than the US (like in healthcare). Even if Canada added, say, universal dental care and pharmacy (which we haven't, at least not fully), that still wouldn’t make us communist.

And we’re not fascist either. Fascism involves authoritarian rule, suppression of dissent, extreme nationalism, and government control centered around a powerful and often populist leader. Canada is still a liberal democracy with elections, opposition parties, independent courts, and protected civil rights.

I think a lot of people throw around these words without really knowing what they mean.

But what do you think?

I was just talking to some Fox News commentors over on YT and their misinformation, ignorance and logical fallacies are really something to behold. I’ve been aware of their chronic stupidity for more than two decades, yet it still amazes me.

"Democrats are terrorists. Canada is communist. Everybody should carry firearms. Vaccines are scams. Everything's a hoax. Trump's doing a great job. Ad hominems and whataboutism are good arguments. Conspiracy theories don't need evidence. Bla, bla, bla..."

Does this news channel tend to attract stupid people?

Or do they make them stupid with their stupid content?

I'm thinking it's a mix. What do you think?

A video went viral showing a lone girl stuck on a broken high school elevator with a group of boys who were possibly younger.

The boys giggled awkwardly, one made a dumb random joke (said "middle school" when she told someone on the phone she was a senior), another boy told him to shut up, she turned around and reamed them out for being immature, not taking it seriously, and told them they were too fat to take the stairs. One of them even agreed with her. And they went silent, some hanging their heads and looking pretty defeated.

That's it. Not a big deal. It's just a stupid video. But the problem was the comment section. It was something else.

People were calling these high school boys would-be rapists as if they cornered her on purpose. Some said they definitely looked like rapists. Others said they were full grown men. One commenter called them "stinky virgins." There was a lot of heated back and forth on whether these teenagers were some kind of predators who had lured a girl into a trap.
