I made a free iPhone app for editing telescope and night-sky photos locally
I’m the developer of AstroFinish, a free iPhone app for cleaning up telescope and night-sky photos without sending images to the cloud. The project started from a simple frustration. A lot of astronomy photo editing either turns into a full desktop processing session or feels like a generic photo filter that does not understand dark skies, stars, glow, noise, and moon detail. I wanted something lighter that still felt built for this kind of photo. Right now it has controls for sky glow, black point, noise reduction, star control, moon sharpening, before and after comparisons, batch finishing, and local export. There is no account, no subscription, no cloud upload, and no tracking SDKs. It’s free on the App Store at https://apps.apple.com/us/app/astrofinish/id6763904575. I’m mainly looking for honest feedback on whether a focused mobile workflow for this niche makes sense, or whether it should stay closer to a simple quick-polish tool.
