Edit to clarify: By chain grocery store, I am being vague! The company I am looking into applying for is a competitor in the place that I live, which is where my concern comes in! I don’t want to risk getting in trouble for applying at a competitor’s location as I do like my Target and the people there :(
I am wanting to resign from Target and apply at a different chain grocery store. I am an ODTM currently due to health issues, though I estimate to be back at work within the month.
The thing is, the other chain store’s environment and benefits suit my life a lot better, not to mention I’d be getting paid closer to my worth. Currently making $16 busting my backside and worsening my health as one of the only remaining closing experts that actually does their job, half our closing team quit recently.
Do I have to put in my 2wks prior to applying to this other store? Or can I get my foot in the door elsewhere first before resigning at Target? I’d hope I could apply and start at the other place first before quitting, so at least I’d be more secure, but I don’t want to risk it all either!
