Hey so I was seeking advice as I am currently on my fitness journey. My peak weight was around November/ December and I was weighing in at around 198, I’m 5’9 and 18 years old.
I’m gonna be going to off to college soon and wanted to start feeling better about myself so I’ve been watching what I’ve been eating and limiting the calories I intake a lot more by just eating one full healthy meal a day which generally consists of 1 cup of 99% lean ground turkey and a whole avocado with some lime squeezed on it and have recently started air frying a cubed up sweet potato with my meal.
I’m currently at 172 and I know I’ve made really good progress but for some reason I just feel like the number on the scale has been a little stagnant or maybe just not going down as quick as I would want it.
I try to restrict myself from eating any other little snacks or anything like that throughout the day but do sometimes end up snacking although I don’t let myself go overboard and I don’t work out or do a sport most days though I do walk around.
So my question is, what can I do to make sure my progress doesn’t plateau (I’m trying to get to around 160-155). Should I cut out the sweet potato, replace another part of the meal, incorporate something into my schedule? Sorry if I didn’t provide enough background info or my question doesn’t seem that significant but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
