For my range hood, I'm trying to decide between a custom wood cover on an insert vs a Viking series 5.

While the custom cover / insert can look really swell, I'd like some first- hand experience with how hard it is to keep this clean. I'm not particularly systematic with cleaning - are most of you wiping pretty weekly? And how do you think it will look in 10 years?
