Eric Kripke has stated several times how he's worked so hard on the final showdown of Butcher and Homelander. He says he always knew what the last few pages of the script were from the very beginning.

Even if they mess up everything else, as long as they conclude this storyline well, the finale won't suck.

They've been teasing this for 7 years now. They can't mess this up.

I can't believe they deleted such a great scene. The show needs more scenes like this.

Butcher and Hughie's brotherly bond is one of my favourite parts of the show.

I hope we see something similar to this towards the end.
