Like the title says… I’ve been realizing I don’t love what I do, and I’m not great at it. So I’m starting to think about a pretty big career shift.

I keep coming back to plants (trying to move away from branding). Right now I’m casting a wide net, florist work, gardens, houseplants, anything in that world.

I have about 1.5 years of experience working on a flower farm in Seattle, plus time on a regenerative agriculture farm growing food on ~10 acres. I really loved that kind of hands-on work.

I’m not necessarily posting because I’m urgently looking for a job, more just looking for advice or recommendations. Open to starting as a florist assistant, helping in a nursery, or anything similar where I can learn and grow.

For context, my other skills are in marketing/branding, content, and general creative work (video editing and videography, so I can bring that too, even if I’m pivoting away from it full-time.

Would love to hear from anyone who’s made a big career switch like this — what was your experience like? Anything you wish you knew before starting?

And if you happen to know any good places, people, or paths to look into around LA, I’d really appreciate it

**Im in North East LA

I'm on the hunt for the perfect everyday summer shoes.

I walk a lot around LA, usually 3–4 miles a day to the coffee shop, the park, etc.... and I’m struggling to find something that’s comfortable, cute, and actually good for walking.

What shoes do you guys recommend?

Right now I’m wearing open-toed hiking sandals, which are comfortable… but definitely not the vibe.

Need: Great to walk in & can pop into a cute event.

Bonus points for:
• really good comfort
open-toed options

Help a girl out
