First Time Buying a Car for Myself
Hey guy,s this is kind of my first time making a post, so sorry for the weird flow. I know this question is asked a lot, and I've done quite a bit of searching but wanted to create a post anyway. I currently drive a 2014 Hyundai Sonata (I despise it, electrical problems all the time, engine blew up at 80k, was thankfully under warranty) but I wanted to get a new car, hopefully around 5-12k.
I want something that is a good daily driver but is still a fun experience to drive, so I *want* a manual transmission. I want to be able to learn manual on the car without the fear of shredding a $25,000 USD new car. I've seen many people recommending Miatas, which...yeah I'd love a Miata, but even used, you're looking at $15k for a decent one it seems. I have looked around for Honda Civics (6th gen and 8th gen mainly based on others' experiences) but I seem to be lacking in finding a decent vehicle.
I'd prefer a sedan/coupe/convertible but honestly, I've never bought a car for myself on my own before. I'd love if you guys could help me out with some suggestions to look around and keep an eye out for.
