Looking at a 2014 Chevy Express 1500 (4.8 V8) that came out of an AT&T fleet and wanted to get some real-world feedback from people who’ve owned or worked on these.
Van has about 137k miles but ~6000 engine hours. Interior has shelves + partition, still has signs of telecom use. Runs and drives fine from what I can tell, no obvious issues. Transmission was smooth, it needs an alignment it rides to the right . Sensors for front and rear tires need fixed.
But I know fleet vehicles can be a different story.
For anyone with experience:
How hard are AT&T vans typically driven? More highway or lots of idle time?
Are the high engine hours something to be concerned about on these 4.8s?
How do transmissions usually hold up on fleet Express 1500s?
Anything specific I should check before buying?
Would you trust one of these for daily work use?
I’ve heard mixed things — some say fleet = well maintained, others say they’re beat on.
Just trying to get honest opinions before I pull the trigger.
Appreciate any insight.
Anyone have any input on whether if this spirit should be upgraded or nah?
I stumbled across this on YT. I wanted to see if anyone is familiar with this channel and GITHUB attached.
