Every morning I travel from Munirka to Dwarka for office. On this route, the Dhaula Kuan flyover is mostly closed in the morning because some VIP is passing.
So many people use this route. People travel from Noida to Gurgaon because most companies are in Gurgaon. And many travel from Gurgaon to Delhi. In the morning, time really matters. Someone has a meeting, someone has urgent work. There are ambulances stuck too.
I am an advocate and I have to reach court on time to present my cases. But I get late because of this.
Why should roads be blocked for VIPs? If they never face traffic, how will they understand the problem? If their route is always cleared, they won’t know that we need wider roads and better traffic control.
They should also feel the same jam we face every day. Only then things might change. Everyone’s time is important, not just VIPs.
