Hi, my sister in law was recently diagnosed with Bipolar 1 after have two bad episodes over the last couple years. Both requiring involuntary hospitalization.

She also doesn't realize anything is wrong or anything is happening but is fully manic. She just had a baby 3 weeks ago and after a week and realizing she was manic, she was involuntaril hospitalized for 5 days. They just released her today because she was sleeping through the night.

She is still completely manic and making unsafe choices with the baby after just a few hours of being home. This is my first time ever being around Bipolar 1 and I just wanna help her but also make sure the baby is safe.

Has anyone dealt with something similar and what can I do to help her?
