Looking for friends, namely worldbuilders who also want to be writers
Just like the title says! I've been neck deep in a worldbuilding project for the past 3-4 years or so, and I really want to take it to the next level and start writing stories in this setting. However I'm really struggling when it comes to things like characters, plot threads, structure, etc. I just have too many ideas! I have some overarching themes that I want to tackle as well, but I just have nobody else in my life to share this with and it's become overwhelming because I want to express this side of myself, but I can't.
I know this is a sub for fantasy writers but I got my start as a worldbuilder, and those subreddits aren't necessarily geared towards worldbuilding for the purpose of a narrative. I'm not trying to conlang or be the next GRRM or Sanderson, but I do want a setting that readers can sink their teeth into, and I think I have something like that. I would really love it if I could connect with other folks who experience this! I'd love to brainstorm, plot doctor, overall just get over my worldbuilders disease, maybe eventually work on drafts together too. Thank you!
