I've been looking for quite a while for something that's as compact as possible at a sub-$800 price point. I don't need fast, but something that can handle hills is a must.

I pretty much have it narrowed down to the Portola and the Aipas A4. Anyone have experience with both?

(I don't need a commuter type bike, I've got a lovely Gazelle T10 ultimate for that :) )

Any other recommendations or input?

I grew up in Vancouver BC, but have been living in the US since I was 12. For the last few years, a few times a week a huge wave of nostalgia and homesickness washes over me.

I'll see a pic of my hometown and my heart just drops.

Whenever I go back to visit, I feel like I can breathe freely again.

Unfortunately I can't yet go back at this point in my life.

Anyone else feeling like maybe you should be somewhere else?

Any suggestions to help deal with these feelings?
